In order to fund some of our on route build projects, support affordable housing groups in our host communities and more, each Bike and Build participant must raise a minimum of $4500. The majority of the money raised by all the riders (8 groups of roughly 30 riders each!) will be awarded as explained below, but a small portion of this will also be used for rider support as we pedal to spread the word about the affordable housing cause. 

Here is how your donated money is allocated:

1. En Route Donations:  Bike and Build supports housing groups in the communities the trips visit with on-the-road donations of up to $100 (each).
2. Competitive Grants:  Riders on each trip receive grant applications and award funding through a team based competitive selection process.  As a group, the cyclists are allowed to choose where to donate their collective donations, in increments between $500 and $10,000.
3. Individual Grants:  Each rider can allocate $500 of their fundraising specifically to an affordable housing organization of their choice.  This does not have to be chosen until the end of the trip, so it may be a group that the rider has met on the road.
4. Pre-Arranged Donations:  Bike and Build will make pre-determined contributions to fun projects executed by the groups we work with to produce our events, such as week-long blitz builds.

Donations can be made in any amount, but I thought I would have a little fun with the route and make you feel like a part of it. Below I have listed the milage and destinations for all biking days on the route. How cool would it be to receive a postcard from me, from a town of your choice telling you about this amazing trip and thanking you for your support. I encourage you to select a milage amount and destination (or multiple) from the list below and make a donation in that amount. 

In addition to receiving a postcard and being listed on my page of supporters; each group will get a unique thank you from me (Keep scrolling down).

Donations $100+ will receive a T-shirt! T-shirts are being Donated by Amjay Screen Printing in Bellingham.
Donations $50+ will receive a handmade gift from me.
Donations $1+ Everybody receives Postcards! (but donations for specific mileage destinations will receive a postcard from that town)

To make a donation online, please click here. Online donations are done through PayPal. Donations made online will receive email confirmation and a thank you from Bike & Build. This email will be documentation for your tax deductible donation.

To make a donation by check, please send a check payable to 'Bike & Build' with my name Corina Cheever in the memo section of the check and mail to:

From Bike & Build: We are, legally, only able to send acknowledgments to the original writer of the check. For checks that are signed over to Bike & Build, Inc., we will only be able to send acknowledgments to the person who signs over the check not the original donor. Donations of $75 or less will receive an emailed acknowledgement only.
